Its been forever since I’ve updated my blog so I thought I’d do one update today,
specially seeing that today is supposed to be my baby boy’s due date…but he decided to show up 8 days early.

Meet Logan, born on 22nd March weighing 7.25lb (3.29kg).

I just wanted to say that he is absolutely precious and we are blessed to have him to complete our family.

Our lil girl was so very excited and proud to be a big sister, she absolutely adores her lil brother and always wants to hold him all the time…
she is such a wonderful lil helper.

Logan is such a cool lil guy and he stole our hearts from the first moment we meet him.

So here are a few pictures of him that i took recently…

well its our anniversary day today…7 years married to a wonderful man and 15 years together
if you count the fact that we were going out for 8 years before we decided to get hitched LOL

we didn’t do anything special this year tho, seeing that its a week night and we also have to do a bit of tidy up in the house seeing that we have a builder coming around tomorrow to check out our house….the purchaser of our house might come with him so we thought we better make the house look a bit decent….(oh yeah, in case you didn’t know we are in the process of trying to sell our house again…hopefully we’ll have more luck this time around).

so to celebrate the occasion i asked if we can do a family photo shoot to document our family as well as the stage im in right now as Im officially in my last trimester of my pregnancy, exactly 30 weeks today! wow i can’t believe i only have a few more weeks to go…

my pregnancy has been going well although i’m feeling HUGE (at times i feel like i have been carrying around a basket ball in front of me!)
not to mention lots of heartburn and the random back pain! Im at that stage where i just want to get this over with now….
i can’t wait to meet our boy to complete our family.

i also wanted to say that sometimes i can’t believe that we have created one beautiful lil girl 5 years ago…
she is so sweet, loving and the best thing that ever happened to us….
and now that we are expecting another additional to our lil family she’s soooo excited about it.
I just adore our little girl and sometimes I think that I don’t deserve her.
She is so caring that she will do anything to put a smile on your face, she’s beautiful and enchanting and she’s our little girl.

we are blessed with a little one that is due soon and it makes my heart smile that they will always have each other growing up…
I just know our lil girl is  going to be an awesome big sister. She has been always been a bright spot in our lifes with her smile and her sweet nature…
I feel so lucky and blessed that God chose her to be with us.

Well we are officially in 2010!! Yay!

I just wanted to say that its been a good start of the year so far…
I was able to spend some time to reflect what has happened in 2009 and what i want to do this year…

Im grateful that we all have been given a chance to start fresh and getting another chance to get it right this year.

On another positive note, I have been able to do a few things that i haven’t been able to these past couple of weeks.
I have a new website on the works, im aiming to get it done by the end of this week…can’t wait to launch it soon!

And also i have been really into still-life photography lately….
i like the clean & fresh look in still life photos, and the simplicity….plus i just love flowers
(especially daisies and hydrangeas…i think they are very photogenic) so that’s what i have been taking pics of lately.
I have to say that its very refreshing to have the motivation and energy to pick up my camera again
eventho its very sporadically at the moment, just when the mood strikes me.

Anyway, i want to share a few of my current still-life snaps, taken all around my house for the past couple of days…

i really dont mean to be a downer on this holiday, but i just can’t help how i feel….im missing my lil girl terribly so i can’t sleep well lately.

She is away for 3 weeks and so far its only been a week and the days seem to crawl ever so slowly….
I’ve been trying to keep my mind occupied with other things but its not working so great….
the house feel so empty and wayy to quite, plus the weather is so grey and raining today,
it matched my mood and how i feel this morning…*sigh*

12 more days and counting….

Its my birthday today and its also the day i enter my 26 weeks in my pregnancy…
that means im officially viable, what a great birthday gift that is.
So for my birthday i decided to do some proper maternity shots seeing that i have been very slack at taking my belly pics this time around.

Doing a normal self portrait is hard enough when i use my wireless remote,
let alone when you have a big belly that makes it difficult to do certain things.
This time because i have specific things in mind for my pics and its practically impossible to do with wireless remote
i have to ask my dear hubby to help…and let me tell you it wasn’t easy! lol

I know exactly what i want for my pics…and its extremely hard not being behind the camera
and not having any control of what it looks like in the viewfinder…but we managed to get there in the end.

I had to give specific directions to my dear hubby for everything…things like where he needs to stand,
what angle he needs to shoot, how to compose the picture, the focal length of the camera…
well pretty much everything, and then i have to check every shot to make sure i get what i want…
and most of the time we ended up doing a re-shoot,
so its not surprising that he told me that im a very hard client to please…LOL

He was a trooper tho and he did very well in following my directions,
he was also very patient in doing the re-shoots (and its A LOT of re-shoots, trust me! lol)….
i just love this man, ohh and i gotta have him in some of my maternity pics too
so i’ll have to whip out my wireless remote for that (maybe later this week),
but that’s another story coz i gotta convinced him to be in it, and that’s gonna be a bit of a mission…lol

Secretly i think he did it only because it was my special birthday request
and also probably because he knows i only ask this of him once in a blue moon
and this will hopefully be my last pregnancy so we wont get to do this again.

Anyway, we had some fun throughout the session and i get to have some nice pics to keep as my special memory.

Today is my parent’s last day in Wellington…well technically its my dad’s last day because my mum will come back next year.
They are taking my lil girl to Sydney with them tomorrow and she will be there for 3 whole weeks!
Honestly, we probably wouldn’t know what to do with all the free time we’ll have in my hands….and we’ll be missing her like crazy for sure.

Seeing that my dad will not be seeing my lil girl for a while i’ve decided to take some pics of them together.
I only get to see my dad once a year if im lucky so i really love these pics, and the memories of them having a great fun together will always be special to me…

I had the pleasure to meet the lovely Hamilton family this past weekend.
And eventho Dean was already 3 weeks and 5 days old he was still a wonderful model for a newborn session.
Congratulations Anna & Craig on your sweet lil boy. It was a joy to meet him!

I had the opportunity to attend an amazing workshop by a talented Photographer, Kelley Ryden…
and what can i say, she is incredibly amazing at what she does!
Im so glad i went coz i learned so much from the workshop.

It was great be able to practice what i have leaned this week too….and i can only hope that i will continue to improve.
In the mean time here are some of the images from the workshop.

well its in the middle of winter…so what would you expect a four year old to do at winter after all that rain?
Puddle Jumping of course! LOL

this was taken over the weekend and it wasn’t even all that much of a puddle….
in fact im sure you can’t even call it puddles because its just rain water instead of brown and muddy,
we have a slab of pavement in our back yard which has collected some water after the rain…
but she said she wants to have a go at it anyway and i have to agree with her just for the photo opportunities LOL

btw, im sick today….my cold has gotten worse, im really congested and feeling yucky all over.
So im staying in bed, keeping warm and having my tea…hope everyone is well and staying away from my germs!!

she picked a little daisy and put it on her left gumboot, and she said to me “look mommy, my left gumboot is giving a flower to my right gumboot!” hahaha isn’t she cute?
